Yet another Home Depot sighting

I always seem to get lucky spotting a Van at Home Depot, I use mine for construction and can get a full sheet of plywood into it ( at an angle ) and close the back door. The majority that I see, however, are the multi bench people movers. Man, I can't imagine one with 6 or 7 adults in it trying to go up a hill.

German cousin

Not quite Brother from Another Mother, but I think this can count as a cousin from a distant land.

Van love

Went into a store and when I came out some one had written this on the back window. Luckily / sadly I don't get around to washing the vehicle very often, so this stayed on for a long time. Thanks anonymous van fan!

Another Home Depot sighting

Lately whenever I pull into the parking lot at Home Depot I wind up finding another van parked somewhere. This one had some 1980's graphics on it. I have yet to find one with faux woodgrain, but I know they exist out there.

The Parts Search

One of the problems with having an old van is that none of the wreckers want to hold them in
their inventory any more. It's not such a popular vehicle so as soon as they arrive at the junk
yard, they seem to crush them within a few weeks. I used to get email alerts when one would arrive
at the wreckers and race down to see what I could strip off it. This one day I came down and saw another van in the parking lot and thought ' Damn , what if this guy is taking everything I want '! Too bad the wreckers shut down, it was such a good source of parts that I didn't need.

Awesome Supra wheels

Taking a shortcut through an area of warehouses I spotted this fella. It's a sweet cargo van wearing a set of rims off a Toyota Supra from the 80's.

Carpet cleaner

Found this guy with his carpet cleaner van bombing down my back lane. Had to stop him.

456,789 kilometers

I am trying to get this Van over the 500,000km mark. Today it passed 465,000. Here is a shot of the odometer at 456,789km a little while ago. Yes, I do drive alot...

Ahhhh, over-drive

One of the best features of these vans, and there aren't many , is the overdrive button on the automatics.
Hitting that button on the highway slips you into a low rpm warp drive. Both hands on the wheel now!

I often find these old Vans in the Home Depot parking lot getting filled up with lumber or bags of sand.
Another common sight are ones that are used for Chinese restaurants and corner stores. They usually have Chinese script on the side and are beat to crap. 

Alright so here we go in no particular order.

I like to pull up beside and jump out, snap a pic and tear off down the road in a cloud of smoke.
